BandiZip is a handy tool that allows you to create and extract archive files in an easy, fast, and cost-free way. The program supports all popular archive file formats, like ZIP, RAR, 7Z, ISO, ZIPX, TAR, etc. Although the program can be used also by beginners, it also includes some advanced options especially designed for experts.

The program offers an extremely simple user interface with big and clearly identified icons on its toolbar. When it comes to exploring an archive file, you just need to click on the "Open" icon and select a compressed file to see its contents. Then you can extract one or more files to the specified folder, add new files to the archive, or remove files from it. You can also click on the "Test" icon to verify the health status of the open archive file.

If, on the other hand, you want to create a new archive file, you need to click on the "New" icon to open the corresponding window. Here you can specify the name and location of your new archive file, and add your source files/folders. This can be done in two ways – either by using the program's own file system navigator or by dragging the files from Windows Explorer. Finally, you can select the compression format and start the process. However, if you happen to be an expert, you can also activate the "More Options" checkbox to access the advanced parameters. Among them, you can select a split criteria for your archive file, or you can password-protect it and customize the compression level, among other options.

In short, my opinion is that BandiZip is a practical and powerful tool that surely will cover the file compression/packaging needs of most users. Unfortunately, the program can create archive files in just a few formats, while it can browse/extract archive files in practically all known compression formats.
